In the Junior School we aim to nurture the growth of the whole child by deliberately offering experiences for academic, creative, social, emotional and physical development.

We view each learner as unique. Our inclusive school culture, is founded on the belief that shared and respectful understandings between students, teachers and parents creates enriching academic and wellbeing benefits for all children. Our commitment to honest and regular communication supports connections and relationships within our school community.

We consider ourselves to be open-minded and reflective professionals who think critically about our practice and seek to continually improve. The Junior School teaching team and program is guided by contemporary educational research . We work in partnership with tertiary institutions to continually improve our approach in all areas of the curriculum.

The intake years for the Junior School are ELC, Reception and Year 5, with occasional vacancies arising in other year levels. There are 2 classes of ELC - Year 4 students in each year level and 3 classes of Year 5 and 6. We have a cap of 18 students in our ELC classes and Reception to Year 6 classes range from 23-25 students.

Students are given a vast choice of co-curricular activities, as well as a wonderful selection of specialist-taught programs in Spanish, Music, Drama, Art, Physical Education and Health. Stimulating and collaborative learning opportunities include staged musical productions for both Year 2 and Year 5 students, an annual Artist in Residence program, an exciting excursion and camp program, participation in inter-school events and the PYP Exhibition.
